The Attorney General’s Office, in coordination with the police, carried out raids on Tuesday at two properties where they seized medications without health registration and with counterfeit labels.
The operation took place following the arrest of Allan Balmore Méndez, who was intercepted in the act while transporting several boxes of pharmaceuticals of dubious origin.
According to preliminary investigations, the seized products did not have health authorization for sale in the country.
In addition, authorities found that the medications had counterfeit labels that imitated well-known brands and laboratories, without the consent of those companies.
The Attorney General’s Office indicated that these pharmaceuticals were being distributed in stores and pharmacies nationwide, posing a risk to public health. Authorities are continuing their inquiries to determine the scope of the distribution network and whether more people are involved in the sale of these illegal products.

Fiscalía allana inmuebles por medicamentos ilegales

La Fiscalía General de la República, en coordinación con la Policía Nacional Civil, ejecutó el martes allanamientos en dos inmuebles donde incautaron medicamentos sin registro sanitario y con viñetas falsas.
El procedimiento se desarrolló luego de la captura en flagrancia de Allan Balmore Méndez, quien fue interceptado mientras transportaba varias cajas de fármacos de origen dudoso.
Según las investigaciones preliminares, los productos decomisados no contaban con autorización sanitaria para su comercialización en el país.
Además, las autoridades detectaron que los medicamentos tenían etiquetas falsificadas que imitaban marcas y laboratorios reconocidos, sin el consentimiento de estas empresas.
La Fiscalía indicó que estos fármacos eran distribuidos en tiendas y farmacias a nivel nacional, lo que representa un riesgo para la salud de la población. Las autoridades continúan con las indagaciones para determinar el alcance de la red de distribución y si hay más personas involucradas en la comercialización de estos productos ilegales.
