The government of Mexico, through the Mexican Agency for International Development Cooperation (AMEXCID), formalized the start of the second phase of the Sembrando Vida project in El Salvador.
AMEXCID Executive Director Alejandra del Moral explained that this new phase represents “a joint effort between Mexico and El Salvador” that, in coordination with the Salvadoran government, places communities at the center and promotes development at the local level, strengthening cooperation and creating opportunities.
She added that this phase “reaffirms a shared commitment: to strengthen rural areas, create opportunities, and address root causes through cooperation. Because sowing life is also sowing a future for the entire region,” she posted on her X account.
According to the Mexican agency, the project will help strengthen food security and sustainable rural development.
The second phase includes the start of producer registration in the department of La Libertad, consolidating cooperation built at the local level and together with the communities, AMEXCID detailed.
“Sembrando Vida has helped strengthen the social fabric and create opportunities, driving local development alternatives that allow people to live with dignity in their places of origin,” Del Moral stated.
Additionally, this new phase includes training, technical support, and the implementation of agroecological practices to improve productivity, self-sufficiency, and commercialization, promoting well-being, community roots, and a shared future.

México y El Salvador lanzan segunda etapa del proyecto Sembrando Vida

El Gobierno de México, a través de la Agencia Mexicana de Cooperación Internacional para el Desarrollo (AMEXCID), formalizó el inicio de la segunda etapa del proyecto Sembrando Vida en El Salvador.
Alejandra del Moral, directora ejecutiva de AMEXCID, explicó que esta nueva fase representa “un esfuerzo conjunto entre México y El Salvador” que, en coordinación con el Gobierno salvadoreño, pone en el centro a las comunidades y promueve el desarrollo desde el territorio, fortaleciendo la cooperación y generando oportunidades.
Agregó que esta etapa “reafirma un compromiso compartido: fortalecer el campo, generar oportunidades y atender las causas de fondo desde la cooperación. Porque sembrar vida es también sembrar futuro para toda la región”, publicó en su cuenta de X.
De acuerdo con la agencia mexicana, el proyecto permitirá fortalecer la seguridad alimentaria y el desarrollo rural sostenible.
La segunda fase incluye el inicio del registro de personas productoras en el departamento de La Libertad, consolidando una cooperación que se construye desde el territorio y en conjunto con las comunidades, detalló AMEXCID.
“Sembrando Vida ha contribuido a fortalecer el tejido social y a generar oportunidades, impulsando alternativas de desarrollo local que permitan a las personas vivir con dignidad en su lugar de origen”, afirmó Del Moral.
Asimismo, esta nueva etapa contempla capacitación, acompañamiento técnico y la implementación de prácticas agroecológicas para mejorar la productividad, el autoconsumo y la comercialización, promoviendo bienestar, arraigo y un futuro compartido.
