The municipality has told the merchants that, in the next few days, they will remove all the vendors located around the Palace and National Library, due to the subway wiring works and improvements in the water pipes of the streets near the area.
The vendors regret the actions of the Mayor’s Office, since it does not give them options so that they can continue supporting their families.
Those affected say they have suffered intimidation by the municipal authorities and that the meetings they have held have resulted in the confiscation of their cell phones.

La municipalidad ha dicho a los comerciantes que, en los próximos días, removerán todas las ventas ubicadas en los alrededores del Palacio y Biblioteca Nacional, debido a los trabajos de cableado subterráneo y mejoras en las tuberías de agua de las calles cercanas al área.
Los vendedores lamentan el actuar de la Alcaldía, ya que no les dan opciones para que puedan seguir sosteniendo a su familia.
Los afectados comentan que han sufrido de intimidación por parte de las autoridades municipales y que las reuniones que han sostenido se les ha decomisado sus teléfonos celulares.
