“The regime feeds on fear”. Movir calls to denounce abuses in the regime- “El régimen se alimenta del miedo”. Movir llama a denunciar abusos en el régimen

The Movement has accompanied relatives of those captured in the presentation of habeas corpus before the Supreme Court of Justice and complaints before the PDDH.- El Movimiento ha acompañado a familiares de capturados en la presentación de habeas corpus ante la Corte Suprema de Justicia y denuncias en la PDDH.

Representatives of the Movements of Victims of the Regime (Movir) called on people who have been victims of violations of their rights to denounce, during a peaceful march carried out this week by the Movement on the occasion of its first year of foundation. 

Samuel Ramirez, representative of Movir, explained that this spontaneous movement was born in response to human rights violations in the context of the emergency regime, and although it was created with the idea that it would be temporary it has been prolonged due to the need to denounce the alleged arbitrariness committed by agents of the State in the regime, which has become permanent through its extensions. 

“With this regime there is impotence, victims have already try everything, they walk around with a pile of documents that prove that their loved one is innocent, there is proof they work, there is proof they study,” he said.

Representantes del Movimientos de Víctimas del Régimen (Movir) hicieron un llamado a las personas que han sido víctimas de violaciones a sus derechos a denunciar, durante una marcha pacífica realizada esta semana por el Movimiento con motivo de su primer año de fundación. 

Samuel Ramírez, representante de Movir, explicó que este movimiento espontáneo nació en respuesta a las violaciones de los derechos humanos en el contexto del régimen de excepción, y aunque fue creado con la idea que fuera temporal se ha ido prolongando debido a la necesidad de denunciar las supuestas arbitrariedades cometidas por agente del Estado en el régimen, que se ha vuelto de carácter permanente a través de sus prórrogas. 

“Con este régimen hay una impotencia, las víctimas ya agotaron todo, ahí andan con el montón de documentos de arraigos que demuestran que su ser querido es inocente, constancias de trabajo, constancia de estudio” dijo.
