Néstor Castaneda, president of the Government Ethics Tribunal (TEG), affirmed in an interview with La Tribu that “they will have news on the case of the official Carolina Recinos, regarding the scholarship granted to her daughter-in-law, by the end of this month” he also added that the case against the presidential commissioner is in the “last defense” phase.
Héctor Silva, complainant and councilman of the mayor’s office of San Salvador affirmed to LA PRENSA GRÁFICA that he does not know more than what the president of the TEG mentioned, but “it is obvious that what is needed is a sanction… Even he (Castaneda) admitted that there is a kinship and that the public scholarship was granted”. “They have all the necessary elements to sanction, now we are going to see if they have the most important one, the one that depends on them: the will and the courage”, he sentenced.

Héctor Silva, denunciante y concejal de la alcaldía de San Salvador afirmó a LA PRENSA GRÁFICA que desconoce más allá de lo que mencionó el presidente del TEG, pero “es obvio que lo que procede es una sanción… Ya hasta él (Castaneda) admitió que existe el parentesco y que la beca pública fue otorgada”. “Tienen todos los elementos necesarios para sancionar, ahora vamos a ver si tienen el más importante, el que depende de ellos: la voluntad y la valentía”, sentenció.
