At 5:01 p.m. San Miguel’s mayor, Will Salgado, stated: “at this moment we are reviewing all our local ordinances, and if there is anything to correct, what you order will be done immediately”.

Almost two hours after Bukele’s publication, the mayor’s office of Sensuntepeque, Cabañas, issued a statement informing that “following the direction of the president” the pluralist council decided to repeal paragraphs 4.1.17 and 4.1.19 of the Ordinance of Municipal Fees.

At 5:56 p.m. the mayor of Santiago de María, Usulután, informed that in compliance with the mandate and for the benefit of the merchants who visit them, it was agreed to modify numeral 11.2 of the ordinance of the municipality.

Alcaldías reaccionan a las amenazas de Bukele

A las 5:01 p.m. el alcalde de San Miguel, Will Salgado, manifestó: “en este momento revisamos todas nuestras ordenanzas, y si hay algo que corregir se hará inmediatamente lo que usted ordena”.

Casi dos horas después de la publicación de Bukele, la alcaldía de Sensuntepeque, Cabañas, emitió un comunicado donde informaba que “atendiendo la indicación del señor presidente” el concejo pluralista decidió derogar los numerales 4.1.17 y 4.1.19 de la Ordenanza de Tasas municipales.

A las 5: 56 p.m. el alcalde de Santiago de María, Usulután, informó que en cumplimiento al mandatario y en beneficio a los comerciantes que les visitan se acordó modificar el numeral 11.2 de la ordenanza del municipio.
