According to the legislator, “most of the people and unions that have complained make the pension calculation based on the Basic Regulatory Salary (SBR), which has not been used for more than 26 years”.
However, Patricio Pineda, founder of the Board, explained that the SBR is used to calculate the pensions of those opted into the system, who receive pensions with replacement rates of up to 70% of their salary.
In addition, he clarified that the Board has followed the Government’s formula in its calculations, and that is why they reject it. “It is the same formula in force since 2006, with ARENA; ratified in 2017 by the FMLN, and now they have copied it,” he added.

Según la legisladora, “la mayoría de personas y sindicatos que se han quejado hacen el cálculo de la pensión sobre el Salario Básico Regulador (SBR), que no se usa hace más de 26 años”.
Sin embargo, Patricio Pineda, fundador de la Mesa, explicó que el SBR sí se utiliza para calcular las pensiones de los optados al sistema, que reciben pensiones con tasas de reemplazo de hasta un 70 % de su salario.
Además, aclaró que la Mesa sí ha seguido la fórmula del Gobierno en sus cálculos, y es por ello que la rechazan. “Es la misma fórmula vigente desde 2006, con ARENA; ratificada en 2017 por el FMLN, y ahora ellos se la han copiado”, agregó.
