The head of the faction of Nuevas Ideas, Christian Guevara, said on Tuesday that he is preparing a lawsuit for up to $10 million against two senior officials of the United States embassy in El Salvador for sending reports to Washington that resulted in their inclusion in the Engel list.
During the interview with Encuentro TVX, the ruling deputy assured that he is already in the pipeline with lawyers to go to a civil court in the United States and file a lawsuit against two officials. However, he did not detail their names. This, according to him, for having sent “false reports” that caused immigration sanctions and “put at risk” the integrity of his family.
“I want to send a message to this administration and the officials of the American embassy, and right now, we are already analyzing putting a lawsuit of at least $10 million on two of the current officials of the American embassy who passed these false reports about me,” Guevara said.

El jefe de fracción de Nuevas Ideas, Christian Guevara, aseguró este martes que está preparando una demanda por hasta $10 millones en contra de dos altos funcionarios de la embajada de los Estados Unidos en El Salvador, por enviar informes a Washington que derivaron en su inclusión en la lista Engel.
Durante la entrevista Encuentro TVX, el diputado oficialista aseguró que ya está en trámites con abogados para acudir a una corte civil en los Estados Unidos y presentar una demanda contra dos funcionarios, aunque no detalló sus nombres. Esto, según él, por haber enviado” informes falsos” que ocasionaron sanciones migratorias y “pusieron en riesgo” la integridad de su familia.
“Quiero mandarle un mensaje a esta administración y a los funcionarios de la embajada americana, y ahorita ya estamos analizando ponerle una demanda de al menos $10 millones a dos de los actuales funcionarios de la embajada americana que pasaron estos informes falsos sobre mi persona”, indicó Guevara.
