César Fagoaga, president of the Journalists Association of El Salvador (APES), responded to statements made by Vice President Ulloa saying that journalists are "re-victimized" by reports of spying with Pegasus./ César Fagoaga, presidente de la Asociación de Periodistas de El Salvador (APES), respondió a las declaraciones del Vicepresidente Ulloa quien dice que periodistas se "revictimizan" por denuncias de espionaje con Pegasus.

In response to these statements by the vice president, Fagoaga stated: “When Mr. Ulloa says that the government has nothing to do with, it does not add up. The word of a government that has been such a liar is not enough for me. We need a serious investigation, and we know that we are not going to get it in this country because the Prosecutor’s Office responds directly to the interests of the Presidential House”.

Ante estas declaraciones del vicepresidente, Fagoaga respondió: “Que el señor Ulloa diga que el gobierno no tiene nada que ver no suma. A mí no me basta con la palabra de un gobierno que ha sido tan mentiroso. Necesitamos una investigación seria y sabemos que no la vamos a conseguir en este país porque la Fiscalía responde directamente a intereses de Casa Presidencial”
