In recent months there have been cases in which at least 35 journalists, human rights defenders and members of civil society have been affected by the interception of their private communications./ En los últimos meses se ha conocido sobre casos en los que al menos 35 periodistas, defensores de derechos humanos y miembros de la sociedad civil han sido afectados con la intervención de sus comunicaciones privadas.

Representatives of Cristosal filed a complaint before the Court of Audits of the Republic (CCR) against Salvadoran President Nayib Bukele; the director of the State Intelligence Agency (OIE), Peter Dumas; the Minister of Justice, Gustavo Villatoro and the Minister of Defense, René Merino Monroy to investigate the use of funds in the acquisition of the spy software Pegasus.

Representantes de Cristosal presentaron ante la Corte de Cuentas de la República (CCR) una denuncia en contra el presidente salvadoreño Nayib Bukele; el director del Organismo de Inteligencia del Estado (OIE), Peter Dumas; el ministro de Justicia, Gustavo Villatoro y el ministro de la Defensa, René Merino Monroy para investigar el uso de fondos en la adquisición del software espía Pegasus.
